Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into strips
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
- Fresh cilantro or lime wedges
Fajita Seasoning:
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp cayenne (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Season the Chicken
- Toss chicken strips with fajita seasoning until coated.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove.
Step 3: Cook the Veggies
- Add remaining oil to skillet. Add peppers and onion.
- Cook 3-4 minutes until charred but still crisp.
- Return chicken to skillet. Toss to combine.
Step 4: Warm the Tortillas
- Microwave tortillas for 10-15 seconds until pliable.
Step 5: Assemble Wraps
- Spread sour cream down the center of each tortilla.
- Add chicken and pepper mixture, avocado slices, and cilantro.
- Squeeze lime. Roll tightly. Cut in half.
